Founders Alfred and Julia Stewart enjoy having clients out to their five acre estate where they have a three acre flower garden with many “rooms” featuring wildflowers, herbs, annuals, shade gardens and rock walls hand-built by Alfred.
Alfred, an Auburn University horticulture major, says: “This is a collectors garden and I like to experiment with different types of new plants each year to see how they perform in Nashville before I recommend them to our clients.”
Alfred and his wife also host garden tours in their garden for such groups as: The Friends of The Williamson County Public Library, Open Garden Days, tours for the Perennial Plant Society and others as well as give hands on demonstrations on garden care for their clients. Also, for the past ten years Alfred has also been sharing his knowledge as a member of the Horticulture Planning Committee at Cheekwood Botanical Gardens.
The Stewart’s garden has appeared on Volunteer Gardener and in the local Tennessee Gardener magazine. “We’re not just another landscaping company.” Julia says. “We’re actually working in our garden, learning about new plants, and sharing our love of gardening with others. It’s not just a business to us, it’s our passion and I think that shows in the quality of our work.”
